Refund Banker Scheme Extended 

The Income-Tax (I-T) department has decided to extend a scheme for tax payers to get refunds directly through State Bank of India (SBI) branches across the country from August 1, a senior I-T officer said. The scheme, inaugurated four years ago, was earlier available in 15 cities across the country.
Refunds would be made through SBI, as it is the refund banker for the department, the official said.
