Sub : Amendments to Business Rules

All Participants are hereby notified that Business Rules 12.6.1.1, 12.6.2.2, 12.6.2.3, 12.6.4.1 and Annexure OB to Business Rules of NSDL have been amended to substitute the term "notarised" with the term "attested by a Notary Public or by a Gazetted Officer". Further, Annexure J (Account opening form for Individuals) (as enclosed) to Business Rules of NSDL has been amended to include the following:

"I/We do not wish to make a nomination".

Participants are advised to take note of the following:

In case of death of a joint account holder if the surviving client(s) wish to open a new Beneficial Owner (BO) account with the same Participant, then the Participant can open the new BO account on the basis of the existing documents already in the possession of the Participant, provided that the said documents meet the prevailing requirements for opening an account.

Participants must send a communication to their clients who have not yet opted for nomination, to submit a declaration specifically stating the following:

I/We the undersigned wish to make a nomination in respect of my BO account and the nominee details are as follows:

I/We the undersigned do not wish to make a nomination in respect of my BO account.

Declaration for not availing nomination facility.

This declaration should be signed, if you do not wish to avail of nomination facility. This document is mandatory as per NSDL circular no. NSDL/POLICY/2009/0004 dated January 9, 2009.

1. As per NSDL guidelines, I/we confirm that I/we have been explained about the benefits of nomination facility in respect of my/our demat account by the official.

2. I also understand that in the event of my/our demise, the process of "transmission" will have to be followed by the legal heir as per the guidelines set by NSDL, by visiting any ICICI Bank branch offering demat services.

3. I/We the undersigned do not wish to make a nomination in respect of my/our demat account.
